Van der Graaf Selects BuyDesign? Product Configurator and Guided Selling Software from TDCI

Columbus, OH (PRWEB) January 12, 2012

TDCI Inc. (TDCI), the leading provider of configurator-based software, announced today that Van der Graaf, a Toronto-based manufacturer of specialized power transmission equipment, has selected TDCI?s BuyDesign Product Configurator and Guided Selling software to streamline and standardize the company?s sales quoting and ordering processes.????

BuyDesign is a comprehensive configure-price-quote (CPQ) solution developed to streamline the sales process for customized products. BuyDesign helps companies that manufacture products with a wide range of features, options, and dimensions increase sales by becoming ?easy to do business with? while at the same time reducing order processing time, cost, and errors.

?We selected BuyDesign as our new generation sales quoting system because we anticipate it will provide us with sophisticated and standardized configuration, pricing, and proposal generation capabilities while being highly intuitive and easy to use for sales people,? said Wan Lin, Customer Service Manager. ?Furthermore, we expect BuyDesign will enable us to provide our customers with accurate and complete quotes in less time, and with less need to draw on engineering resources.?

Another reason Van der Graaf chose BuyDesign is that once it is fully implemented, the ease with which configuration models can be developed and maintained. ?The rules for how our drum motors can be configured are quite complex,? said Pedro Marques, Van der Graaf IT/Systems Administrator ?It was a challenge to keep our old configuration system up to date with product changes, but BuyDesign provides a straight-forward graphic environment that makes that much easier. BuyDesign will enable us to reduce time to market for product innovations and more rapidly incorporate product and pricing changes into the quoting process.?

Van der Graaf has licensed BuyDesign Configurator, BuyDesign Channel Sales, BuyDesign Flex2D, BuyDesign Flex3D, and BuyDesign FlexDocs. BuyDesign will be integrated with Van der Graaf?s existing Visual Manufacturing ERP system and SolidWorks 3D CAD system. Training and implementation services will be provided by TDCI along with Toronto-based TDCI partner, Sabre IT Services. Partial funding for training is being provided by the AIME program sponsored by the Yves Landry Foundation

Stroudsburg, PA (PRWEB) January 25, 2012

When the Community Foundation of Utah (CFU) launches its new technology in February, it will be the first major technology utilized by the foundation staff since its inception in 2009. For the first time donors, grantees and staff will benefit from the many features being offered through the iPhi Product Suite?, a web-based philanthropic management software system developed by Stellar Technology Solutions LLC of Stroudsburg, PA.

In addition to technology CFU has contracted for full ?turnkey? business process outsourcing services which will allow the foundation?s staff to focus on its mission, confidently knowing that the daily administrative tasks will be handled professionally, accurately, promptly and without additional staff support.

New Leadership at TigerTurf Americas Renews Commitment to Customer Satisfaction and Product Quality

Austin, TX (Vocus/PRWEB) January 13, 2011

TigerSports Americas, Inc., has installed a new senior management team to elevate the company?s position as a synthetic turf supplier of choice for athletic and landscape surfaces: Dave Powell now serves as president, supported by Greg Roscoe as vice president of sales and marketing and John ?Doug? DeMasie as vice president of operations. All are based at TigerTurf Americas Austin headquarters.

Powell has almost 30 years of experience in sales and management for major manufacturing companies such as Honeywell, Luvata and United Technologies. His experience is concentrated in aligning companies for growth and profitability, with emphasis on strong financial systems, effective talent management, and business development programs that resulted in sales of up to $ 300 million.

?At TigerTurf, I am pleased to report that we will aggressively apply the Six Sigma Process for quality improvement and customer satisfaction. My leadership team and I also are implementing new programs to elevate our brand in the market place and accelerate sales while also focusing on continuous development of our organization and our people,? Powell commented.

Powell is excited to be part of a strong growth industry within the outstanding 300-year corporate culture and performance of TenCate, parent company of TigerTurf and the leading manufacturer of synthetic turf components.

Powell earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Drexel University.

Roscoe, who joined TigerTurf in December, was attracted to the opportunity to serve in the senior sales and marketing role for TigerTurf because of TenCate?s ownership stake in the company and its commitment to the global turf industry. He has 25 years of marketing, business development, sales and management experience. Prior to joining TigerTurf, Roscoe held senior positions with synthetic turf companies Spectra Sports Surfaces, a division of Shaw Industries; Turf Evolutions LLC, a company he founded; Challenger Industries, Inc.; and eleven years in management positions with TenCate starting in 1990.

?In my new role at TigerTurf, I am eager to help the company earn the recognition it deserves for the quality and reliability that TigerTurf and TenCate represent,? said Roscoe. ?Furthermore, I am excited to promote all of the benefits that synthetic turf offers to our customers. We are also actively recruiting top notch partners throughout the U.S. We believe a powerful global brand, supported by local and regional partners is the key to sustainable success in this business,? Roscoe explained.

Roscoe mentioned two new programs TigerTurf is launching for its partners this year include cooperative advertising and quality certifications for athletic fields installed by TigerTurf partners.

Roscoe earned a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial management from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is an active member of the Synthetic Turf Council, and maintains affiliations with the Geosynthetic Materials Association, Industrial Fabrics Association International, American Society of Landscape Architects, and Georgia Tech Alumni Association.

DeMasie joined TigerTurf full time in October 2010. He has 25 years of experience in operations, manufacturing processes and procurement for a variety of industrial companies. For 24 years, DeMasie worked for Acuity Brands Lighting/Lithonia Lighting, which is based in Conyers, Ga. Just prior to joining TigerTurf, he served as a consultant in implementation of lean manufacturing processes for lighting manufacturers.

?As vice president of operations, I am focused on ensuring that TigerTurf always delivers a superior product on time and at a competitive price that meets or exceeds our customers? expectations,? DeMasie said. ?Our production team has built an excellent foundation for manufacturing a quality product, and we will do even better in the months and years to come.?

DeMasie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University. He received several awards and certifications, including the Lean Manufacturing Master Black Belt, Acuity Brands President?s Safety Award and Acuity Brands Chairman?s Award. He served as president of the Cochran Rotary Club; chairman of the Bleckley County Hospital Authority; member of the board of directors for United Way of Bleckley County; a member of Middle Georgia College Foundation; and member of the board of directors for State Bank of Cochran.
